- 1). Open Blender on your computer by double-clicking on the "Blender" icon.
- 2). Click on "File" at the top of the screen and then on "Open." Navigate to the folder where the digital footage is stored and click on the file you wish to render. The footage imported into Blender must include the audio as part of the package.
- 3). Click on "Render" on the top menu, to open the Render menu options on the right-side panel of your screen.
- 4). Choose your presets by selecting NTSC, HD or PAL video format.
- 5). Choose the format for the final render. You have the option of AVI, AVI Raw, BMP and others.
- 6). Select a compression rate, if desired. Using compression can create smaller files and take up less hard-drive space.
- 7). Click on the type of channel you wish to render. You will have the choice of black and white, RGB or RGBA.
- 8). Choose the codex of the final render. You have the option of AVI or MOV. AVI plays well on Windows, while the MOV format requires Apple's QuickTime Player to view the final file.
- 9). Click on the option of 24 fps or 30 fps for the final render. 24 fps gives the video a film look, while 30 fps is the typical standard video rate.

Press "Ctrl" and "F12" simultaneously to begin the render of the video. Once the process is complete, the video can be viewed either on the Blender main screen or in other video viewers.
