- 1). Select a grove to pick from. As of 2010, there are two places in Clermont open to the public for picking oranges (see Resources).
- 2). Call or email the orange grove for times of operation and appointments. Orange groves are generally open from October through November, although some may be open as late as May. A grove may allow picking by appointment only, so you will need to arrange a time to go. Ask if the grove will provide a bucket or bag to hold your oranges or if you will need to provide your own.
- 3). Pick your oranges. Gently pull the oranges to remove them from the tree and place them in your bucket or bag.
- 4). Pay the fee for your oranges. Prices vary by location and amount picked, so check with the orange grove for exact pricing.
