    Kidney

    • Kidney, a beef product, is another one to watch for. It is extremely high in cholesterol and may not be as obvious as other meat products. A 3.5 oz serving of kidney of any kind, has 375 mg of cholesterol.

    Liver

    • Liver is another beef product that is high in cholesterol. Though high in protein, there are 300 mg of cholesterol per 3.5 oz serving.

    Sponge Cake

    • Sponge cake may seem like a good option to substitute for other cakes and pies. However, there is 260 mg of cholesterol per 3.5 oz serving. This makes it as unhealthy as many other cake choices.
