Branson's Titanic Memorial Museum

Branson Missouri is home to a truly diverse and eclectic group of attractions and events for all ages.  From the breathtaking views of the Butterfly Palace, to the sweeping melodies of the nationally lauded harmonies of the Haygoods, Branson really is the Midwest's entertainment destination capital.  Finding it's home amongst this mix is the critically acclaimed Titanic Memorial Museum.  Featuring more than 400 unique artifacts from the voyage and exquisitely reproduced staircases and life boats, the many things you can see and experience while touring the many halls and corridors of this museum are almost limitless.

The year of 2012 marked a monumental date for the legendary voyage of the Titanic.  On April 15th of 2012, exactly one hundred years have passed since that fateful night.  Thanks to the Titanic Memorial Museum, visitors will have the chance to delve in to the lives of the many passengers and crew member who lost their lives as the Titanic sunk into the Atlantic Ocean.

A tour through this museum is anything but kitschy or cheap.  Some six million dollars has been poured into both the construction of this museum and the facts that it houses.  The museum features a stunning replication of the grand staircase as made famous by Kate Winslet's character in the movie adaption.  Patrons of the museum will also get the opportunity to take helm of the ship with an accurate recreation of the ship's starboard and wheel.

The self guided tour takes some ninety minutes to complete and at no time will you be completely left to your own devices as docent of the museum is always close by to answer any questions or curiosities you might have about one of the many pieces of information that populate the facility.  The museum is staffed with countless individuals who are more than equipped with all of the information and facts about the ship and its notable crew members.

The experience is also perfect for the younger generation who may find some of the facts and statistics a little less than exciting.  Throughout the tour there are multiple opportunities to engage in games, trivia and interactive stations.  One of these such activities is the museums authentic wire tapping device.  In this part of the tour, guest of the museum will be given the chance to tap out their very own SOS message.  After this, you can turn a corner to put your hands on a piece of glacier much like the kind that struck into the base of the ship on that fateful April night.

The tour also includes the chance to see a recreation of one of the many first class rooms that upper crust patrons of the ship enjoyed on their cruise across the Atlantic.  These rooms are stocked full of antiques and replicas from the ship to give the viewers the most authentic experience possible.

Located just a few minutes from Branson's Thousand Hills  golf course, the museum is one that is not to be missed if you or anyone you know is planning a trip to his exciting destination in the Midwest.
