2005 Harley Davidson Deuce Specs

    • Harley-Davidson made the first Softail Deuce custom cruiser in 1999, similar to the familiar Softail but with a stretch tank and seat for an even more swooping visual effect. The company made the last Softail Deuce in 2005.

    The Basics

    • The 2005 Softail Deuce weighs 643.7 lbs. and stretches to an average length of 95.4 inches. The seat sits classically low at 26 inches off the ground at its lowest setting. The seating position is upright, with no slouching needed to reach the handlebars. The Deuce has 5.6 inches of ground clearance, a wheelbase of 66.5 inches and can hold 4.89 gallons of fuel.

    Engine

    • The 2005 Softail Deuce gives up 1,449cc of displacement power with a V2, four-stroke, five-speed engine that boasts an 8.8:1 compression ratio. A 3.8-by-4-inch bore and stroke ratio kicks out 74.5 foot lbs. of torque at 3,800 rpm.

Using DOHC fuel control as part of the company's "electronic sequential port fuel injection" system, the 2005 Deuce's engine is operated with a multi-plated clutch. The exhaust system, with Harley's customary absence of any muffling characteristics, is double-barreled.

    Other Features

    • The 2005 Deuce had a 160/70-17 tire out of the factory with single-disc brakes on the back and double-disc front brakes on forks set at 32 degrees. The brakes all measure 11.5 inches.

The forks and front spoked wheel are chrome-plated, but that's just the start of it. The company plated much of the exterior accessories of the 2005 Deuce in chrome, with exception to the tank and fender, which it painted in 12 different color schemes.
