Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner Aquamate Instructions

    Preparing the Aquamate

    • 1). Remove furniture in the room and vacuum the carpets thoroughly. Attach the Aquamate to the main unit using the Rainbow hose.

    • 2). Screw the water hose into a threaded faucet. If the faucet has an aerator, or screen filter, unscrew the screen first, then attach the hose. If the faucet is threaded on the inside, use a thick and a thin washer to screw in the hose. If the faucet is threaded on the outside, use only the thin washer to screw the hose in.

    • 3). Turn the faucet on to a warm setting. For best results, run warm water for a few minutes before attaching the hose.

    • 4). Slide the "Bottle Release" latch as indicated by the arrow on the unit and remove the solution bottle. Pour the carpet cleaning formula into the bottle until you reach the "Formula" fill line.

    • 5). Locate the lip on the top rear of the bottle. Position the bottle under the control housing unit and hook the lip over the ledge. Turn the bottle forward until the release latch locks it into place.

    • 6). Press the "Bottle Fill" button on the side of the housing unit to add water to the solution bottle. Fill the solution tank to the "Maximum" fill line.

    • 7). Turn the mode selector on the side of the housing unit to "Soap On." Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

    Using the Aquamate

    • 1). Turn the Rainbow main unit power switch "On."

    • 2). Place the extraction head at the bottom of the Aquamate on the carpet. Press the trigger to release the solution and warm water onto the carpet.

    • 3). Push the extraction head forward and backward over the same area to remove the dirty water from the carpet fibers. Repeat this cleaning process over the entire carpet in the same forward and backward motion.

    • 4). Turn the mode selector to "Soap Off" to rinse the carpet areas that you have cleaned. Make a final pass over the carpet to help speed up the drying process.

    • 5). Turn the water off when you are finished. Rinse out the water basin and wands.
