- 1). Once you have been denied on your social security disability claim, you have 60 days to file an appeal on your denial. You can file your social security disability appeal online by going to the web address:
https://secure.ssa.gov/apps6z/iAppeals/ap001.jsp. I also included a direct link to the appeals application in the resources below this article. - 2). Next, once you are on the social security disability appeals application page, scroll down and read over the information. Then scroll down to the link that says "Start the appeal" and click on it.
- 3). Next, you will be taken to an information page that will let you know exactly what you will need to file your social security disability appeal online. Read over the information and then click the "continue" button at the bottom of the page.
- 4). Lastly, you will start the social security disability appeals application. Once you are finished with the entire appeals application, contact your local social security disability benefits office to let them know that you filed your appeal online or you can call 1-800-772-1213 to get the contact numbers for your local social security office.
