Raw Vegetables For the Skin

Vegetables are good for the skin.
They contain phytonutrients and antioxidants, not to mention vitamins, enzymes, and minerals, which nourish our skin and body differently from other foods like meat, seafood and other poultry products.
But it does not mean that just you eat vegetables, you will get the flawless and healthy skin you have been dreaming of.
You have to ask yourself how you eat your veggies.
Do you eat them raw? Experts say that eating raw vegetables is better than eating them cooked in whatever way (fried, boiled, grilled, etc).
It is found that when vegetables are cooked for more than 118 degrees, the enzymes are destroyed because of the intense heat.
In any other foods, that would naturally happen.
If you cook meat for more than the temperature it requires, it gets burnt and all you get are carbons.
In the case of vegetables, they serve you better when they are not cooked at all - which means just raw.
What are enzymes exactly? They are found in foods and they help in breaking down what we eat into simpler compounds which are then absorbed by the body.
It actually improves the processing of the digestive system.
What is the connection? If you have good digestive system, you have better blood circulation.
If you have better blood circulation, it gives you good skin because the blood supply maintains the health of skin.
If you are not used to eating raw vegetables because of its different taste, you may want to experiment making salads that use different kinds of dressing or complementary ingredients.
For a start, I give you here a simple recipe: You will need here...
2 medium sized beet, skinned and sliced into very thin strips 2 1/2 carrots, skinned and sliced into very thin strips 7 cups of green vegetables (e.
g.
lettuce, red lettuce, arugula) 1 1/2 cucumber, skinned, seeded and sliced into small pieces 1/2 cup of olive oil 1/2 cup of lime juice 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon dried tarragon leaves 2 teaspoon grated lime peel 1 cup sour cream Place the cucumbers and carrots into different bowls.
Mix together lime juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, lime peel, and dried tarragon in another bowl.
Once you do, pour 2 1/2 tablespoons of dressing on the bowls of cucumbers and carrots and mix each bowl.
Cover them and put inside the refrigerator.
When they have reached the right coolness, bring them out.
Now the green vegetables will be placed in a new bowl where you will also pour the bowls containing cucumbers and carrots.
Pour the remaining dressing and top the sour cream after everything has been placed in the new bowl.
Now you know that natural skin care recipes can be eaten by the mouth, too.
