Structure As soon as you are in the mode of doing 'business', give yourself the structure that you need to stay on task.
Use the structure you were given at your job as a guide and adapt it to your present situation.
In other words, use that structure in your transition and then in your home business.
If you are like me, and most entrepreneurial minds, you want to get away from structure and lead a more free life.
Well, that is a result and, if you do things right and follow your plan, the results you want will come.
Don't forget, you are going to 'be your own boss', meaning that there is not an absence of a boss, it just happens to be yourself.
So you must stay on top of your most important employee, yourself.
Structure yourself to be a good employee and a good boss.
Vision, faith & expectations Your vision is what you see for yourself.
It is the image that your dreams are your reality.
Isn't that one of your favorite things to do? I love to think about my dreams; doing so immediately lifts me up and gives me faith.
I want to be careful with the word faith.
To me, faith is the conviction that what I want is or will be.
The mere fact that you have a dream is proof that you have faith in it.
Dreams and faith are tied together because your dreams are what is meant for you to experience and pursue.
Faith is the conviction that you deserve these things and that you have what it takes to make them come true.
Your dreams, like your faith, are powerful and can truly catapult you towards your vision.
Think about your dreams, know that you can attain them with faith in your self and expect them to become reality.
To expect your dreams to be fulfilled is the same as faith.
This expectation is powerful; it gives your dreams the go ahead to be fulfilled.
Expect that you will have the results that you want and expect of yourself to accept them into your life.
One more thing about vision; know in your heart that what you want is in line with truth, with the purpose of the universe.
Feel good about that which you seek.
Support I briefly mentioned the supportive spouse.
You may find that you will have a lot on your mind throughout this process so having support can only be beneficial to your venture.
You need support, so do things in such a way that the support is given to you.
Be clear in your communication with your spouse and family so that they can feel good about what you are doing and that they understand that it is not a walk in the park for you.
Request their support in your home based business and you will likely get it.
If not married, this can apply to a room mate or whoever shares the dwelling.
Motivation & accountability I highly recommend doing something that I learned many years ago.
It is directly tied into your dreams.
Earlier I briefly touched on dwelling on your dreams.
Really do dwell on them and clarify them in your mind.
This is time well spent because it is important to know where you want to go and using that emotional energy to your advantage.
Give yourself some things to look at that will bring you to the state of mind that motivates you.
I made a picture album of the things that I would like to have and experience.
I suggest making an album or board with pictures and magazine clippings.
Include pictures of your loved ones too.
Use this media as a reference, update it often.
You will find yourself looking at things with a higher level of excitement and possibility.
These visual tools will help you be accountable to your own expectations.
In the end, the only person who can hold you accountable is you.
You are your own boss in your own home based business.
You are the one who wants to make money from home, so be accountable to yourself and use your dreams in that process.
Use your written goals as well.
These are there to keep track on your progress.
Results The results that you will get from this are usually different from those that were originally wished for.
The original set of wishes, which is all they are at first, change as soon as they become goals, as soon as you prioritize them and take them to heart.
You will come to value such things as the learning process, the progressive attainment of your goals and the personal growth, much more than you do in the beginning.
It is likely that the monetary aspect is one of the most desired results at first, but there are other fulfilling results that make this type of a transition so worth it.
I think that making the same amount of money by working at home is much better than having to go to an office every day and answering to someone else.
Driving to work in order to be doing what they want you to do so that you can fulfill they goals.
The main reasons we have jobs is to create the cash flow we need to have the house we live in and all the things we need to buy.
Now take away all the things you have to buy in order to be able to work in a job, like the suits and ties; take away the things we have to do, like leave our home and family so that we can afford to live there, afford the clothes, the car, the gas, etc..
For me, so far, it has been a challenging journey.
I made hasty decisions at first; I did not write down my goals until recently and had a misconception of what faith is.
I did not realize how happy I already was that I had a home to live in, a car to come and go, plus so many things.
I made changes along the way, was uncomfortable from time to time and went forward anyway.
So to be able to look back and see the growth in my self and in my character and in addition to that see the monetary prize begin to manifest itself is to know that the dreams that I started with were meant to be followed.
Those dreams that kept calling me, kept reminding me to find my way.
Now I am making money at home.
As I sit here, I am grateful that I can make money online, being my own boss in a home based business.
That I can be at home when my son gets home from school and show him a better way of providing for the family so he can follow suit someday.
Whatever you want your results to be, make sure they are worthy of you.
It is your life and your dreams.
