- 1). Unplug your Dremel tool, loosen the collet and remove the accessory that is currently installed in the Dremel tool, if any.
- 2). Attach the multipurpose cutting guide and tighten the thumbscrew so it will not slide off or become a safety hazard while the Dremel tool is in use.
- 3). Insert a multipurpose cutting bit (561) so the entire cutting surface is visible outside of the collet. Tighten the collet with the tool included with the purchase of the Dremel.
- 4). Plug the Dremel tool into a regular wall outlet and turn the power switch on to setting 15 so the multipurpose cutting bit will rotate at approximately 15,000 RPMs (rotations per minute), the recommended cutting speed for laminate flooring material.
- 5). Begin cutting the laminate flooring from the edge of the plank. If a plunge cut must be made, orient the cutting blade to a 45-degree angle to the surface of the plank and plunge sideways.
- 6). Follow a predetermined cutting pattern that has been traced on the laminate flooring with a pencil or a permanent marker. After the cut has been completed, turn the Dremel tool off and set it aside to allow the bit to cool.
