- 1). Kill or capture the spider if you wish. Use an insect spray labeled effective for spiders and saturate the web and spider with the spray. Step on the spider to kill it or capture the spider carefully in a jar or similar device if you wish to catch and release it elsewhere.
- 2). Brush away light spider webs with a feather duster. This works well for small webs around ceilings and corners of the walls in your home.
- 3). Use your vacuum to reach high and tough-to-reach areas. Using a vacuum with bag also works well if you want to suck up the entire web along with any spiders or insects. Don't use a bagless vacuum, as any insects you collect can escape through the bagless canister.
- 4). Douse outdoor webs with a heavy stream of water, which will break up and wash away most webs.
- 5). Use a broom to brush away tougher spider webs, if you don't have a garden hose on hand.
