- 1). Pry off the trim around the edges of the floor with a hammer and flatbar. Keep the trim intact as you remove it.
- 2). Set the first row of linoleum click tiles next to the wall where you want to start. Connect them by holding one down and pressing the other one against the side of it until you hear a "click." Put 3/8-inch wall spacers between the tiles and the wall as you lay the row to allow for expansion of the flooring with climate changes.
- 3). Lay all the full tiles that will fit. Move the row of the tiles in one direction or the other to split the difference between the space left at that end. For example, if there is 6 inches of space left, move the row 3 inches closer, so there's 3 inches on each end.
- 4). Measure the spaces at the ends and mark them on two new tiles with a square, subtracting 3/8th of an inch from each one. Cut the pieces with your circular saw. Set them in place at the two ends with the cut sides facing the wall.
- 5). Set the subsequent rows of tiles in the same manner, row by row, clicking them together at the edges and cutting them at both ends as needed. Cut the final tile as needed to fit against the ending wall with a 3/8-inch space left.
- 6). Reinstall your floor trim using a trim nailer, covering up the spaces at the edges.
