Another important thing to talk to the movers about is the place you will be moving into and if there are conditions that would need to looked into.  As an example, you are living in a single family home all on one level however moving into a penthouse apartment.  The company would have to be aware of that so they can be prepared to move large furnishings, perhaps even hefting them up on the outside of the building and taking them in through the windows.  It will not always have to be that extraordinary in most cases.  Even a split level home could be a challenge if you have good sized heavy pieces.
