A great way to liven up any party and to get guests mingling and talking is to play a fun ice breaker game. These games require little to no preparation, but provide lots of laughter and conversation. Purchasing a few gag gifts for prizes would be the only expense. - Start this game by having all participants sit in a circle with their purses on their laps. The hostess will have prepared a list of items in advance that are typically found in a woman's purse and some not so common items. Each item has an assigned value. Common items are assigned a lower point value then uncommon items. For example, a pen may be worth one point and a pack of chewing gum may be worth five points. The list should include several funny and clever items such as a dental floss or a golf tee, which have values of 10 and 20, respectively. When the hostess reads off an item, players search their purse. If an item in found, that player receives the corresponding points. Each person keeps her own score and at the end of the game, the player with the highest total points wins.
- Prior to the arrival of the guests, the hostess writes the names of famous women on index cards. When each guest arrives, the hostess pins a card on her back so she is unable to see the name. During the party, each player tries to find out who she is--whose name is pinned on her back--by asking questions. The questions can only be answered with a yes or no. The winner is the first player who correctly figures out who she is.
- For this game, all the guests sit in a circle. The hostess has a roll of toilet paper and explains to the group that they are all going on a camping trip. As the roll gets passed around, each person is instructed to pull off what she feels is enough to last her for three days. Once each player has pulled off her supply, the hostess then informs them that for every sheet of paper, they must reveal something about themselves.
