Power Tools: The Way We Live And Work Today

Many thousands of years ago, before the invention of power tools, our cave dwelling ancestors set out to slay the cave bear and saber tooth tiger with crude weaponry fashioned laboriously by hand from stone.
Besides fashioning spears and knives by chipping away at one piece of stone with another, these early warriors and workers had to make do with extremely primitive tools to use around the cave that served as Home Sweet Home.
Luckily, there wasn't a whole lot of construction necessary before setting up house in a cave.
There is no doubt that humans should count themselves lucky to have been given opposable thumbs, which made making, grasping and using tools possible.
Still, imagine how much easier life would have been for Crag the Caveman if he had had access to modern power tools! Besides making for an easier life, Crag would have probably enjoyed a longer life as well, since being forced to do everything the hard way must have necessitated many long, grueling hours of backbreaking work that surely shortened his lifespan.
On up until the middle and end of the 1800s, building and construction was still a relatively primitive process compared to today.
Before building a house, barn, shed or any other edifice back in the day, the trees had to be hand sawn and felled..
..
dragged out of the forest by mules, oxen or horses..
..
cut into boards and hand planned, plus a lot more hard, heavy work.
Then began the arduous task of driving hundreds or even thousands of nails with a handheld hammer..
..
somehow winching and hoisting the gables and rafters into place with a block and tackle...
and so on and so forth...
none of it easy! Building and construction today with power tools and other modern inventions is a cake walk compared to that! Not only are power tools easy to use, but the sheer variety available makes light work of almost any professional or DIY project.
Some of the most commonly used power tools include: Nailers Mitre saws Drills Grinders Jigsaws Reciprocating Saws Planers Sanders and Polishers Table saws And More As you can see there is a fantastic selection of power tools available to you.
It's amazing that we can now use all these tools in our day to day life.
What power tools did for the industry in terms of ease of use, convenience and time saving, on-line shopping does for you by making it fast, easy and affordable to buy the tools you need to get the job done! Crag the Caveman would be jealous!
