One of the very first things that you should do when you would like to lose weight is that you must start out with making goals for yourself. These goals must be realistic and not only should they be realistic but it should be a goal that you know for a fact you can achieve. Don't say that you are going to lose 40 pounds in one week. Nope. We know that won't happen. You must try and make a goal of losing like five pounds. You don't even have to include that per week. Just say you are going to lose five pounds and do it.
The next step is after you make a goal you must stick with it. Don't waver and go back and forth. Stop with the " I should have lost 15 " or "I should have lost 10". Be happy with your weight loss and make another realistic goal.
Journal all of the goals that you do. Write down everything. Even write down the goals that you do not make. Write down how much you weigh now and what you want to weigh.

When you are trying to lose weight with your goals make sure that you only eat healthy things. Not only do you eat healthy things but you must make sure that you continue eating these healthy things after you have lost the weight and don't stop.
In the morning, afternoon, or at night take a break and go for a 30 minute walk or jog. If you have a gym nearby and some money go and exercise. If you don't have any money see if you have a local YMCA or a building that offers free exercise classes. Call around and ask your friends.
The most important thing is when you are losing weight is that you don't give up on yourself and that you don't start beating yourself up. Know that you can do it and make sure that you keep your I can Do it attitude in check at all times.
