How to Cover an Air Leak From a PVC Pipe

    • 1). Shut off the power to whatever unit your PVC piping is connected to. Locate the area of the PVC pipe that is leaking.

    • 2). Cut through the pipe about 1/2 inch on either side of the leaking hole. Remove the inch-long section of damaged pipe.

    • 3). Coat both ends of the remaining PVC piping with PVC primer.

    • 4). Coat both ends of the remaining PVC piping with PVC cement.

    • 5). Fit a PVC couple attachment over one end of the PVC pipe.

    • 6). Insert the remaining end of the coupler into the remaining end of the PVC pipe. Wait a few minutes for the primer and cement to set.
