I'm actually an English guy who relocated to the States back in 2000. In my time here, I've enjoyed getting to see the US bands that either never played the UK or only ever played there once or twice.

I've met loads of local (metro Detroit) musicians. I tell them that Journey only played the UK once, Boston once, REO twice, Styx about three times, Toto about three times, Kansas once, Night Ranger once and the likes of Survivor, Shooting Star, Damn Yankees, and Bad English -- never!


The local guys tell me it's the same for them, that UK rock bands they got into didn't come over here that much either.

I still have around 400 vinyl albums (and about the same number of singles) which get played from time to time.

I met my wife here through a band. The guitarist introduced us. I've been playing the drums for many years now, she plays keys. But that's another story ...
