- 1). Locate images from the Internet that you would like to add into your deck design. These images can include pictures of your favorite characters, graffiti, shapes or any other image you want on your skateboard. Save these images to your computer's desktop.
- 2). Scan hand-drawn designs into your computer or use a free graphics program such as MS Paint on a PC, Paintbrush on a Mac or Tux Paint for multiple operating systems to free-draw your own graphics for the board. Save the drawing as a .jpg or .png file.
- 3). Go to a skateboard design website such as Zazzle.com, BoardPusher or Sk8factory. Select "Design Custom Deck" from the homepage.
- 4). Choose the deck you want the custom graphic to be placed on. Choose a deck that matches your style, as the feel of your deck is just as important as the images you place on it. For example, skaters with smaller feet and frames may choose a shorter deck than larger or taller skaters.
- 5). Click "Add Image" from the design screen. Choose your saved images from your desktop to upload onto the deck. Move and resize the image using the tools present on the design website. You can add multiple images for a collage graphic or adjust your image size to take up the entire top or bottom of the deck.
- 6). Select "Add Text" to enter any text you want on the deck. You may want to add a nickname or your initials to further customize your graphic.
- 7). Choose "Purchase Deck" to complete the custom graphic, purchase it with a credit card and have the deck shipped out to you.
