Did you read this Sunday's controversial "doggie" story in the LA Times? If not, then let me clue you in.
At issue is the fact that downtown Los Angeles has turned into a "battle zone" over dog poop! Apparently, an uptick in the number of dog owners moving to downtown LA is causing dog poop to pile up like Bill Clinton's lies.
And this is understandably driving non-dog owners raging with anger.
Let's face it stepping in dog poop is flat-out disgusting.
Oftentimes just the sight of a "heaping pile" is enough to leave you gagging.
And as a dog owner (and dog lover) I have a simple and effective strategy, that will solve this problem once and for all.
(By the way, the only "solution" LA politicians have come up with is to flyer the area with marketing that begs dog owners to "curb their pet".
Habits are hard to break, so is it any wonder why this has failed miserably?) My solution is to have the City of Los Angeles install "doggie walk bag" dispensers on the "poop routes" in question.
This will give dog owners an easy way to "pick up" after their dog, instead of leaving poop to fester on the street.
Now, of course there will still be some "bozo" who does not clean up after their dog.
There's always a "bad apple" in every bunch.
But, in the neighborhoods where "doggie walk bag" dispensers have been installed, there is clearly a lot less doggie-doo on the street.
Instead of just howling over the problem, why not implement this solution?
