How to develop a laser sharp focus! How do you develop a laser sharp focus and get after what you seek after the most? In affect, how do you focus on your CCMP (clear-concise-mental-picture)? The first step to developing a "laser sharp focus" is to connect with your CCMP! Obviously when you set a goal the intention is to achieve it, right? Not for everyone! Most people set goals just to say they are doing something but often times have zero emotions attached to their current goals & dreams! People focus on what is important to them! People focus when there is a great consequence to not getting what they need to get done - done! People focus because there is a reward and/or a value-based reason for doing work that means something to them! People focus because they want an increase/improvement to a current condition, status or level of achievement.
People focus because there's a limited time to get something they want accomplished! People focus because it serves them, benefits them or benefits others! The ability to focus requires mental energy! Mental energy produces a focus that leads to results! Results - a specific set of desired results is..
..
Your CCMP! What is your CCMP or clear concise mental picture? If you do not know what your CCMP is than you probably need to concentrate on what matters most to you! Right now take a blank piece of paper and draw a line down the middle.
Now put your goal or "desired results description" at the top of the page.
Next, on the left side of the page put the things that are most important to you today! On the right side put those things that you will have to work for a year or more to obtain.
Now you can begin to "zero in" and circle the things that you listed as most important today and begin to prioritize them chronologically.
In other words, what things do you need to work on first? Once you have that discovered you are well on your way to determining your CCMP! Next..
..
A call to action! What's your game plan? Is there room for a "plan b?" Hey, "it's only your life, get after it!"
