- 1). Open the iTunes on your computer, and insert the narrow end of the iPod cable into the USB 2.0 port on your computer. Insert the other end of the cable into the iPod dock connector found on the bottom of the iPod.
- 2). Click "File" at the top of the iTunes window, and click "Add Folder to Library" from the pull-down menu on your PC. For Macintosh computers, press and release the "Command" and "O" keys on your keyboard simultaneously.
- 3). Locate the Napster music folder in the "Add to Library" window, and single-click the folder to highlight it. Select the "Open" button in the lower-right corner of the window on your PC, or click "Choose" in the lower-right corner of the window on your Mac.
- 4). Click "File" at the top of the iTunes window and select "New Playlist" from the sub-menu. Enter "Napster" as the name of the playlist, and press the Enter or Return key on your keyboard to save the playlist.
- 5). Click Music icon in the iTunes sidebar, and drag and drop the imported music files to the "Napster" playlist in the sidebar. Click the Music tab in the main window of iTunes, and check the box next to "Sync Music."
- 6). Click either "Entire music library" or "Selected playlists, artists, genres." If the latter option is selected, click the checkbox next to "Napster" in the playlist section and click "Apply" to sync the playlist to your iPod. If the former option is chosen, simply click the "Sync" button in the bottom-right corner of your iTunes window to sync the playlist to your iPod.
- 7). Click "Controls" at the top of the screen and click "Eject iPod" from the pull-down menu after the iPod synchronization is complete.
