"Konvicted" delivers a rhythmical experience that I at least did not expect.

He varies from reggae to ballads to the more expected hip-hop.
It is really impressing to hear what Akon is capable of.
This album took quite a while to finish, but the reason for that was that Akon is a highly sought after writer.
During this year he has contributed to over 40 songs with other artists.
While the two most known singles "Smack That" and "I Wanna Love You" are in the expected rap category, you will find songs that are more surprising.
"Mama Africa" has an African theme, "Never Took The Time" tilts more against R&B and then you have the hip-hop fueled "Blown Away".
It is all a great mix of passion from an exceptionally good writer and artist.
