- 1). Unplug the radial arm saw. This will ensure that the saw cannot be turned on accidentally.
- 2). Remove the old saw table by removing the bolts that hold the table to the saw frame.
- 3). Measure the old saw table. Transfer the measurements to a new piece of ¾-inch medium-density fiberboard, or MDO.
- 4). Cut the MDO to the correct size. Use a circular saw and the measurements as a guide.
- 5). Lay the old table on top of the new MDO piece. Transfer the bolt hole locations by inserting a pencil into the bolt holes. Mark the bolt hole locations with a pencil.
- 6). Drill the bolt holes in the new table. Make the bolt holes with a drill and the correct drill bit. Countersink the holes so that the bolt heads are below the table's surface.
- 7). Place the new table on the radial arm saw. Tighten the bolts that secure the saw to the table.
