Using aggressive Internet marketing is working out a full blown campaign to exceed anyone's expectations on how well the results will perform.
These days, a business needs to use fierce guerrilla Internet marketing tactics to make an impact on the millions of sites out there.
Can it be done? Of course, but what about at low cost? How can aggressive be affordable in advertising a website online? The Internet is a giant information portal.
There is information on everything you can think of (and things you couldn't even think of).
The key to keeping costs down in advertising your website online is to do your research.
You can pay for this information or you can find most of it for free, or for very low cost.
But, you're going to have to put in the work.
There are basically only two ways to do things, you exchange your time or your money.
It's your choice which one you have more of to use.
You need to be keen and alert and know the current trends in the online industry.
Google is currently the big hitter and you need to know what it's search engines like and dislike (they change quite often), but the one thing you can count on search engines liking, is new content.
While looking for what is happening now, ask these questions, if you are going to do it alone, or choose a marketing company to help you.
#1 HOW WILL YOUR SITE BE DESIGNED? Are you going to do it yourself or get a professional to create your site for you? As a web developer, I believe in functionality over form which means I believe a site needs to have good, reliable, organized information and not just sit there looking pretty.
Looking pretty doesn't pay well.
#2 WHAT ARE YOUR KEYWORDS? You must know exactly what you are marketing and you need the keywords and phrases to fit.
You can easily find many places to do keyword research online which will help you come up with a list you may never even thought of.
But stay focused.
Don't put too many keywords and phrases on your site.
#3 HAVE YOU MADE YOUR SITE SEARCH ENGINE COMPATIBLE? Aggressive marketers know that not only does a site need good content for its viewers, but it also needs good 'content' for the search engines.
It's quite simple.
Of the thousands of search engines out there, only an elite few need to be catered for, and you must know their rules.
Then you must apply those rules to your site in order to achieve a better ranking.
If you don't understand SEO, then consider hiring someone who does.
#4 WHO ARE YOUR COMPETITION? You must know who you are in competition with and what they are doing.
You will have strengths that they don't and weaknesses too and you must learn how to take advantage of both.
#5 WHAT IS YOUR MARKETING PLAN AND HOW ARE YOU USING IT? I've covered this in another article in detail "How to Organise Your Marketing Campaign For Maximum Effect" where I go into greater detail on what should be in your marketing plan.
Assuming you have one, then you must use it constantly.
It should be broken down into daily, weekly and monthly tasks and used.
It must be reviewed regularly.
Everything should be constantly tested and measured for results.
Remember, results are the only thing that counts.
It must include your website copy, linking, your content, how you review or add content, and SEO.
Once you've covered all those three things, it's time to start zeroing in on each specific step in the process and making sure you're doing the best you can do in every part of advertising a website online.
