Often before a single person "ties the knot," the maid of honor or best man throws a party for the bachelor or bachelorette. There are many games that are fun to play at these parties. - The scavenger hunt is a good game for either the bachelor or bachelorette party. For example, have the bride-to-be find a pink necktie, a man in a suit or a man with a bald head. Have the bachelor find a shot glass, a girl over 5'11 or a girl with an ankle bracelet. Often played while bar-hopping, the scavenger hunt is a lot of fun.
- Quiz the party-goers by asking trivia questions about the bachelor or bachelorette. Use some things that you know are true like "Scott had his first kiss in eighth grade" or "Sarah fantasizes about vampires." Other examples might be "Scott's first dog was a poodle" or "Sarah always wanted to be a Cowboy Cheerleader." Also, add in some false but plausible trivia "facts." Ask the trivia questions to see who knows the bachelor or bachelorette the best.
- List the entire alphabet in three columns with some space after each letter. Make and distribute copies of the list for all the men or women at the party. Set a timer for five, ten, or fifteen minutes and see who can come up with the most names for drinks that begin with each letter. Examples might be Angel martini, Boyscout beer, Chilly Cosmo and the Groom guzzler.
- To have a poker night, set up round tables in a garage or basement and find people who will volunteer to be "dealers" for the evening. Use chips to buy-in and play a round of Texas Hold 'em beginning with a two chip buy-in. Present prizes like golf balls, casino gift cards or gift certificates. Poker nights are great fun.
- A "Sex and The City" theme night is ideal for the small and intimate bachelorette party. Provide boas, funky shoes and cosmopolitans while each guest plays the role of her favorite character.
