- 1). Visit apple.com/us and click on "iPhone accessories."
- 2). Choose between a case or a bumper. A case fits around the sides and back of the phone, and helps protect the device from scratches and damage. A bumper fits only along the sides of the iPhone, leaving the back of the phone exposed. You can purchase bumpers in a variety of colors, while cases can also have pictures, patterns or graphic designs on the back.
- 3). Purchase your case or bumper from the Apple store. Ensure you purchase an item specifically designed for an iPhone 4, as the other iPhone models have different cases.
- 4). Fit the case onto the iPhone once you have received it. Make sure both the phone and the case are clean before joining them, as trapped dust or particles could create scratches on your iPhone over time. Once the case is fitted, you should no longer have any problems with the antenna signal.
