Do you have trouble finding clothes to wear every day or are you attacked by boxes, clothing or hangers every time you open the closet door? Well, then it's time to get your closet organized! Not everybody is fortunate enough to have a great walk-in closet, but let's make the best of the space we do have!
The first thing you need to do is separate all the items in your closet. Get rid of all the clothes that you don't use, doesn't fit or have stains. My best tip is "if you haven't worn it in the past year, you don't need it!" Of course, this doesn't work for everybody, but it can be a good rule of thumb. The clothes taht you don't want to keep you can donate to charity.
The next thing you need to do is separate the clothes you've decided to keep into two piles; one for clothes that you use on a regular basis and clothes for special occasions. It might be a got idea to have to separate areas in the closet for these to categories. If you want, label them.
The clothes you use regularly will probably need the largest space. Separate these clothes by season or garment type so that it's easy to pick out in the morning. It might be a good idea to invest in some new shelves or storage bins for clothes like shoes and workout clothes. You can also use the back of the closet door to hang jewellery, ties and belts. This is a great way to free some space!
Having a neat and tidy closet will save you time and money. I'm confident that once you've separated all the clothes you will find the favourite sweater, jeans or blouse that you haven't seen in months! Good luck! [http://declutter-tips.com/articles/how-to-organize-your-closet]
