How to Make Terracotta Pot Feet

    • 1). Knead the terracotta clay. Simply press the clay with the heel of your hand firmly, folding it over and repeating for 20 minutes. Let the clay rest for 2 hours.

    • 2). Roll the clay into three golf ball-sized balls. Place the balls on a flat surface and flatten slightly with your hand. Place the edge of a container pot on half the upper surface of the flattened ball and press gently, making an impression 3/4-inch deep. Repeat with all the terracotta balls to create the pot feet.

    • 3). Let the terracotta pot feet dry for 24 hours. Bake the feet in the kiln according to the kiln manufacturer's directions.
