The Terran, Zerg and Protoss are three species featured in the very popular science fiction computer game Starcraft II, Wings of Liberty.
The Terrans are human exiles from Earth; the protoss are species with vast psionic powers; and the Zerg are a race of insectoid genetic assimilators.
The Starcraft II game revolves around these three species.
The Starcraft II game takes place four years after the setting for Starcraft: Blood War.
Starcraft II follows the Terran Jim Raynor as he leads his rebel group against the Terran Dominion.
Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty concerns itself mostly with the Terrans.
Heart of The Swarm and Legacy of the Void centered around the Zerg insectoid and the Protoss with their vast psionic powers.
Psionics is the practice of using the mind to cause paranormal phenomena.
This includes the ability to read minds, known as telepathy, and the ability to move objects, telekinesis.
The Vulcans in the popular series Star Trek, had limited psionic abilities.
The Zerg share common body parts with various insects and spiders, hence the term insectoid is used when describing this species.
The Terrans are the most divided of the three species featured in the Starcraft computer games.
The Terrans not only fight other species but they also fight among themselves.
They remind us of modern mankind.
The Terrans are also noted for their ability to quickly drain the resources of a planet.
Not much different than mankind in today's world.
The Terrans are often seen being involved in civil wars among themselves, while at same time being at war with the Zerg or Protoss.
Who will win the battles and the war? Who will become the dominant species? The Zerg, Protoss or Terrans? Best Regards
