- 1). Make sure the correct "dock" is inserted into the top of your Jensen Docking Digital Music System. The music system comes with five separate docking ports, each designed to fit a different type of iPod. If your iPod will not fit into the dock that is currently inserted, try swapping it out for a different one.
- 2). Make sure your iPod is securely pushed down into the dock. This connection must be made for the music system to be able to read the information contained on your iPod. Just because both the music system and your iPod are turned on is not necessarily an indication that this connection has been made. You need to see the "Battery Charging" indicator on your iPod to confirm that the connection is successful.
- 3). Make sure your music system is properly plugged in. The music system operates off of an AC adapter, so if the unit won't turn on, check to make sure the adapter is connected into both a wall outlet and into the music system itself. If the unit still will not turn on, try a different wall outlet to see if that fixes the problem.
- 4). Adjust the volume properly. You can adjust the output volume on both your iPod and your music system. Therefore, if the volume is turned all the way down on your iPod, you won't be able to hear audio from your music system, even if the audio on that device is turned all the way up. Verify that the volume is set to a reasonable level on both devices and then try playing a song again.
