There is an epidemic sweeping the nation and the only way to combat it is with drastic action. Cheap tights are ruining the days and nights of women across the globe, and it's time to put a stop to it. If you have ever found yourself sat on the bus or tube to work and realised that you have a huge ladder in your tights, I feel your pain. They appear from nowhere and even if you do have a bottle of that magic clear nail varnish, the damage is done.  Tights are an essential piece of your summer and winter wardrobe therefore it makes sense that women have so many pairs waiting to be picked out of the drawer. One of the main causes of this tight dilemma is that fact that women are not prepared to pay that little bit extra to avoid unsightly ladders. With so many cheap versions available many believe that they may as well save their money and buy pairs that end up being disposable.

It was after my third tight change of the day that I decided enough is enough. Each pair had become laddered in the space of 7 hours and cause embarrassment and inconvenience as I had to nip to the bathroom to change. It was at this point that I looked online for a solution and found a world of good quality tights and stockings that looked fairly promising. I wasn't expecting miracles as I inputted my card details but thought that if I was paying that much for tights, I should be getting a high quality product.

After receiving my Pretty Polly tights through the post I tried them on and waiting for what I thought was the inevitable. I went about my day to day activities not really giving my new tights much thought until I was sat eating my lunch. At this point of the day I would have normally had to try and disguise at least two ladders in my cheap tights, or changed pairs completely. To my surprise my tights were still in a fantastic condition, with no snags, ladders or annoying rips. My day continued and so did my tights; I even put them to the ultimate test by heading out with my girlfriends for a night of dancing. When I finally came home I did what I thought was impossible, I took off my tights and instead of placing them in the bin, I put them into the laundry basket.
