In the future they say that people will be able to get new body parts so if you need a new set of lungs they will be able to grow a set of lungs and put them in your body for you and you can keep on going like that ever happened.
Of course such medical procedures will cost quite a bit of money and I'm wondering who is paying for this.
Additionally, if you know you can get a free set of lungs later on in life why should you quit smoking? If you do not exercise your body, eat right and insist on abusing alcohol or drugs, then why should that be my problem and why should I have to pay for it.
Better yet why should society have to pay for it and why should you be allowed free health care and free new body parts when you abuse your body, refuse to lose weight, continually eat crap and never exercise? The future; it will be great and hopefully they can make these new body parts very cheaply and insert them robotically after they give you some anesthesia.
Nevertheless the way the health-care system is currently, such procedures will be very expensive and really I don't want to pay for them, especially if you have done nothing to take care of yourself the entire period.
Please consider all this in 2006 before you force universal health care down the throats of the taxpayer.
