A Hospital is Its Own World

Whenever you walk through a hospital you see hundreds of people hurriedly walking the corridors wearing scrubs.
These are the people who save lives on a daily basis.
Some of the individuals may be doctors who are there to treat the common cold, and others may be OB-GYN's there to deliver the hospitals latest addition to human life.
If one were to sit on a bench and watch the many medical professionals walk by, they would see a quite diverse spectrum of dickies scrubs pass them by.
Each person that walks by has their own unique story to tell; of where they came from and of where they are going.
The one thing that each of them has in common is the yearning to help their fellow man.
They stroll the long corridors to consult with other physicians if they need a fresh set of ears to help them out.
They race into the waiting rooms to provide an anxiously waiting family some good news.
Or bad as it may be.
These professionals will do everything that it takes to make sure that their patients get the proper care that they need.
If you were to interview each person in hospital scrubs that walked by, you would have quite a task in front of you, since scrubs are the standard attire in hospitals.
You might talk to a medical orderly who is on his way to the operating room to assist the surgeon in a minor surgery.
You could also run into the head of the radiology department on his way to the nuclear medicine wing.
There are countless jobs to be had at a hospital, with an amazing variety.
But no matter how different their jobs may be, they all have the same goal: to save lives.
Each hospital has so many different departments that it could be hard to keep track of where you are going.
All the way from the emergency department to labor and delivery, there are myriads of avenues to explore.
Many people even get lost in hospitals! The long, narrow, empty corridors and numerous floors of hospitals tend to cause grief to visitors trying to find a particular patient.
When in doubt, you could most likely stop anyone dressed up in scrubs and ask for directions.
Odds are, a person wearing scrubs, is most likely a person who is willing to help.
A hospital is a busy place with so much happening at one time it's hard to keep up.
The atmosphere of a hospital is much like its' very own world.
So the next time you are in a hospital, just sit and watch the world walk by.
You might be amazed at what you see.
If you look closely, you might just see Katherine Heigel in scrubs walking by!
