(Oct 25, 2004)Two rap stars-turned-actors will team up for the remake of the 1950's comedy movie, "Last Holiday." Queen Latifah will be joined by LL Cool J for the updated version of "The Last Holiday," to be directed by Wayne Wang ("Maid in Manhattan").
The original "The Last Holiday" film starred Alec Quinness as a shy guy who throws caution to the wind when he discovers he's got a terminal illness.
Quinness' lead role has been changed to a female character, with Queen Latifah playing a sales person who takes off for Europe after being given the bad news.
Filming will star in November 2004 with Paramount tentatively looking to release "Last Holiday" in September 2005.
Oscar nominee Queen Latifah was last seen in "Taxi" and is currently in production on the "Barbershop" spin-off, "Beauty Shop." LL Cool J just completed filming "Edison" with Kevin Spacey and Justin Timberlake, and the dramatic thriller "Slow Burn" with Taye Diggs.
