- 1). Turn off the water supply to your LG dishwasher and turn off the dedicated breaker on the main electrical panel in your basement, garage or laundry/mud room. If you have a fuse box, remove the fuse powering your LG dishwasher.
- 2). Empty your LG dishwasher of all dishes, and pull the top and bottom racks out to have ample space to work.
- 3). Locate the float valve, mounted at the bottom of your LG dishwasher. Remove the cover plate concealing the float assembly with a screwdriver and pliers.
- 4). Unfasten the float switch itself using a screwdriver and your hands or pliers. This will differ slightly, depending on the year and model of your LG dishwasher. The assembly switch may snap out or have to be unscrewed.
- 5). Pull the float switch out of the recess and dispose of it. You can now snap or fasten a new float assembly into place. Then replace the cover, racks and turn both the water and electricity back on and us your LG dishwasher as normal.
