How to Soak a Wound in Salt Water

    • 1). Combine the salt and the warm water in a bowl.

    • 2). Stir the mixture with a spoon to dissolve the salt into the water.

    • 3). Soak the wound in the salt water. Or soak a washcloth in the salt water and apply it to the wound. Apply a bandage.

    • 4). Soak the wound for 20 minutes three times a day. Change the bandage daily.

    • 5). Continue soaking the wound until the infection is cleared. Then, clean the wound once a day and change the bandage.
