Coke Experiments

Diet Coke + Mentos = Eruption

    • One of the most commonly performed experiments is easy to do. Simply open a bottle of Diet Coke, drop in a Mentos candy and watch the eruption begin. Some people have seen results as high as 15 feet in the air.

    Battery Corrosion

    • One of the easiest of experiments is with a car battery. We all know from time to time that acid and corrosion builds up around the cable connectors, leaving a crusty white/yellowish powdery substance. If you pour Coke over the connectors and use a wire brush, you will see how easy the connectors become shiny and corrosion free once again.

    Cleaning Burned Pots

    • Take a burned saucepan, pour in Coke and let it boil. As the Coke comes to a boil,. take a soft scrub brush and start to work it in small circles. You should slowly see the burned residue begin to dissolve and the pan become clean again.
