- 1). Turn the system's main switch to the "Off" position.
- 2). Divide the batteries into two sets and secure them to your project.
- 3). Connect the positive terminals together on the first set with a short piece of wire. Repeat on the second set.
- 4). Connect the neutral terminals together on the first set with a short piece of wire. Repeat on the second set. Now each set is wired in parallel.
- 5). Connect the neutral terminal of a battery in the first set to the positive terminal of a battery in the second set with a short piece of wire.
- 6). Connect the remaining neutral terminal in the first set to the remaining positive terminal on the second set with a short piece of wire. Now the two sets are connected in series.
- 7). Attach the wire from the positive terminal of your power system to one of the positive terminals in the first set of batteries.
- 8). Attach the wire from the neutral terminal of your power system to one of the neutral terminals in the second set of batteries. Turn the system's main switch to the "On" position and test your system.
