- 1). Search for a commercial website that provides property records that you feel comfortable with. Texas Land Records is both a free and paid service. One-time personal searches are free, but you pay a fee to print out a document.
- 2). Register to use the website. Even though some of these sites are free, you may have to register and obtain a password to use the site, especially if you need to print or download documents.
- 3). If you are using Texas Land Records (see Resources for a direct link), click on the link at the top of the page for a free search. This will take you to a page with a list of Texas counties. Pick Wise County. You will then be taken to a page with a Wise County banner. Follow the free-search link at the top and this will take you to a search page that allows you to search by grantor/grantee name or document type (if you have the document number).
- 4). Or, go to the county clerk's office in person and request the records. See the Resource section below for a link to a directory of public offices in Wise County, Texas.
