Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Look up the latest exchange rate for one USD to euros. You can call any major bank for this information, or use the online currency converter provided by XE (see Resources). The rate should look something like 1 USD = .7567 EUR. Round the euros to the nearest cents. In this case 1 USD = .76 EUR.
2
Calculate how much money you will need on your trip. Include all items you plan to pay for in cash. You won't need to convert U.S. dollars to euros for any items purchased on a credit card. The credit card company will do that automatically for you.
3
Multiply the amount of dollars you plan to bring on vacation by how much one dollar is worth in euros. For example, if you want to bring $500 on vacation then you would multiply 500 by .76 for a total of $380. You can also do that backwards. Lets say you need a total of 380 euros for your trip. Divide the 380 by .76 for a total of $500.
