Pressure washers have now become immensely popular as the time goes by. Nowadays, people are looking for ways on how to clean their cars, patios, grills, boats, the interior as well as the exterior of their homes the smart, faster and easier way. There are many new owners of these cleaning equipments and so the three tips below will help them understand how to use a pressure washer and enjoy cleaning with it.
1. Selecting nozzles and/or tips. In order for your pressure washer to clean efficiently, you have to select the right type of nozzle and/or tip. Most nozzles do either of the two cleaning purposes - one is to reduce the pressure and draw out the detergent while the other one is for high pressure rinse at varied spray angles. Basically, the smallest angle provides the most powerful spray. For instance, you will have to use a zero-degree angle if you would like to remove a stubborn stain on your driveway. However, if you want to move debris such as sand or leaves away from your home, then you will have to use a much wider angle such as a 25 or 45-degree nozzle.
2. The use of chemicals. Use chemicals and other pressure washer cleaning solutions that are specifically safe and made for pressure washer usage. Always check before using any chemicals or solutions on your unit so as to avoid damaging the unit.
3. Test the power. Do test your unit for its power. The best way to do this is to begin spraying several feet away from an object. Carefully bring your wand to a 3 to 4-feet distance from the surface you would like to clean. Move your wand side to side and check if the surface is cleaned. If it still needs to be cleaned, get closer about 1 to 2 feet distance and spray on the surface. The reason for the gradual cleaning of the surface is that pressure washers are very powerful, so if you tend to start cleaning too close to the object, you may potentially damage it instead of just cleaning it.
