1. Make sure all your programming is correct. This might seem redundant, but if you do not double check, you will have to repeat this process.
2. Click the DTM button on the top of the DL-Windows program.
3. Select the locks you wish to update by selecting "Send Program to Lock" in the drop down menu and double clicking the box to its right until a check mark appears.
4. Now plug in the cable from your computer to the DTM. REMEMBER: The black tab on the cord goes into the black input on the DTM.
5. Once the cable is connected; click "Program DTM for selected locks."
6. Hit the green button on the DTM once.
7. The DTM should read "PC Comm Mode" and your computer should be processing numbers in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
8. Once the computer reads "Transmission Successful" you have completed sending the information to the DTM. Now you need to bring that DTM to the locks you are updating.
9. Bring the other cord handed to you by The Flying Locksmith technician to transfer the information to the unit.
10. Plug this cord into the DTM and the lock, remembering to keep the black tab situated where it is supposed to be.
11. On the lock itself hit the code "299 299" and wait for DTM to respond.
12. It may ask you to enter that code again.
13. Once you have entered the code a second time, the information flow should have begun. Wait for the DTM to read "Lock Date and Time Updated."
14. Test your cards/codes and make sure the new programming is working correctly.
Things to Remember:
1. Failure to place the black tab on the cable in the black input on the lock or DTM will result in the programming not going through.
2. Always make old users or lost cards "red" in your programming. This way you will have records on the audit trail if someone tried to use the old card.
3. Failure to place users on the correct groups could lead to wrong access times or 24 hour access.
4. The DTM runs on a 9V Battery. Make sure that battery has power.
