Coming to terms with the fact that you haven't been dealt quite as convenient a genetic hand as other guys who gain muscle easily, is not always easy to do.
And this is exacerbated by the fact that it is often more difficult as a skinny guy right from the time you are at school to the current day, and that you tend to face more challenges both physically, but also primarily psychologically, in dealing with the fact that you don't have the body you would desire.
You know yourself that being a skinny guy can be frustrating.
You may have been called names in the past, or else you may feel that physically you haven't felt as comfortable as you would have done if you had bigger arms, a larger chest and 20 pounds of muscle! But even if that isn't the case and you just want to put on a few pounds it is nevertheless challenging to come to terms with that.
You don't however have to settle for this sorry state of affairs though, because if you are a hard gainer it is still possible to pack on the pounds, but the secret is that you need to approach the process in a totally different way from conventional guys who pile on the pounds easily.
Instead you need to follow guidelines (both diet and exercise) that are designed by guys who used to be just like you, and yet managed to turn things around.
Because the reality is that it is a totally different set of challenges, but ones that you can achieve surprisingly easily if you do things the right way.
