We speak about cooking, it means using some form of heat to prepare the food so that it becomes edible.
In the process, we use different methods, appliances and ingredients to ensure that the food being prepared turns out to be tasty and digestible.
People use a variety of methods to select and combine the right ingredients and use the correct measurements in order to prepare a dish that they want.
However, there are many factors that affect the end result.
These include the skill of the person cooking the food, the different types of ingredients used, the appliances used and also conditions of the surroundings.
This is why there is such a great diversity in cooking.
Different regions in the world display the diversity of cooking due to the way the food is grown and the ingredients.
Even factors like culture and religion have an impact on the way a particular dish is cooked.
Humans have been using fire for more than 800,000 years.
In fact, archaeologists have found evidence to this fact with their finds of fossils of roasted meat and vegetables.
However, as time passed by, technology and since have helped to improve the way food is grown and cooked.
This in turn helped the diversity of cooking to flourish in different regions of the world.
Once pottery was used for cooking, it changed the entire way food was cooked.
This happened sometime in the 10th century BC.
This also led people to experiment with something that today we use so often -- boiling.
No doubt, people who love cooking value the evolution process different methods have undergone.
And, it is this same evolution that has added diversity to the way food is cooked all over the world.
Imagine how dull and boring our lives would be if there was no diversity in cooking?
