Family holidays can be great fun for all but it's really important that you choose a destination that's right for the whole family. If you make a poor choice then you may find that you've got some very bored children on your hands!
Many of us look back on our childhood holidays with great fondness. They often seemed to be full of sunshine, fine and endless hours. Whether or not they were really like this is, to some extent, considerably less important than the way in which we remember them.

The first decision that many have to take is whether to stay in the UK, or opt to travel abroad. The advantage of a holiday at home is that it should be cheaper, although that's not always the case.
Travelling abroad offers the lure of better weather. Once again, however, it's hard to guarantee such things. Possibly the best course of action is to opt for somewhere that pretty much guarantees great weather, but also has plenty of other attractions nearby.
This helps to explain why Florida is such a popular destination for many families. With its perfect mix of great weather, spectacular scenery and brilliant theme parks, it's no surprise that so many people choose to travel there every year.
