How to Plan a "Survivor" Party Inside

How to Plan a 'Survivor' Party Inside

    • 1). Create your own, or purchase themed invitations to mail to your guests. Use the "Survivor" logo as inspiration, or purchase invitations that embody the essence of an outdoor adventure. The invitation is your guest's first impression of what is to come at your party.

    • 2). Head to your local party supply store, or visit the many party supply websites to purchase decorations and dinnerware to suit your theme. Décor should be exotic and incorporate tiki torches, luminaries, camouflage, animal prints and palm trees. A party supply shop will also carry dinnerware that will match your theme.

    • 3). Plan your menu. Simple foods work best with this theme. Roasted bananas and macadamia nuts work well as snacks, and barbecue chicken and ribs work well as entrees. Add fresh fruit to add another exotic touch to your décor. Drinks can include Hawaiian punch, mai tais, pina coladas and daiquiris.

    • 4). Prepare your music selection. The sounds of Bob Marley and other reggae artists will add an island feel to your party. Another great artist to include in your tropical play list is Kaleohano Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, also known as "IZ." Music will enhance the tropical, island feel that will highlight your Survivor theme.

    • 5). Organize "Survivor"-themed games. Keep in mind that you'll be using indoor space, and some games may require more space than you have available. Eating challenges, such as who can eat the most gummy worms, may be the best suited for your indoor party, but if space permits you could also incorporate a hula hoop or limbo contest as well. Your guests will enjoy the challenge and opportunity to become the "ultimate survivor."
