- 1). Stop the background process for the Enterprise Agent because they will interfere in the removal process. Press the three-key shortcut of "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" to open the Task Manager. Click "Processes" and select the "McAfee Enterprise Agent" filename in the list. Click "End Process" to stop the processes.
- 2). Click the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel." For Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, click "Programs" and choose "Programs and Features." For Windows XP users, double-click on "Add or Remove Programs." A window displaying the list of installed programs will appear.
- 3). Select "McAfee Enterprise Agent" from the list and click on the "Uninstall" or the "Change / Remove" button to open the Uninstaller Wizard. Enter in the log-in information for an administrator account, if prompted.
- 4). Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the McAfee Enterprise Agent from your computer. After the uninstall is complete, restart the computer to save the changes to the configuration and settings.
