- 1). Turn on the curling iron (if using one instead of the small round brush). Once the curling iron is hot, begin separating and wrapping your hair section by section. Hold the wrapped hair in the barrel of the curling iron for a minute and then release. Continue curling each section until all the hair is curled.
- 2). Use comb (or hair pick) to loosen up curls until satisfied with their look. Spray on hairspray to ensure the curls stay in place.
- 3). Dampen your hair if you are using round brush instead of curling iron. Once the hair is damp, apply either mousse or gel throughout hair.
- 4). Divide hair section by section (just like with a curling iron) and wrap hair into the round brush. Once each section is fully wrapped in the brush, hold that section for a minute and then unwrap the hair from the brush. Continue wrapping each section of hair until your entire head is finished. Use a comb or hair pick to arrange curls to your satisfaction.
- 5). Allow your hair to dry naturally or use a blow dryer. Make sure to put the blow dryer on a low setting so the curls aren't loosened. If necessary, apply hairspray to keep those curls in place.
