- Crush a couple of aspirin tablets and add just enough warm--not hot--water to make a paste. Leave it on for about a half hour.
- Make tea extra strong and let it cool. Soak a face rag in the tea, wring it out and lay it on the burn for about 15 minutes.
- When you need a quick fix, try underarm deodorant, the roll-on kind. Fragrance-free is best, because the perfume can cause a rash.
- Vinegar may seen a strange thing to put on a burn, but this type does work. Dip a face rag in the vinegar and pat it on gently.
- It is the most obvious choice, but probably the last one someone would think of. It works and lubricates the skin at the same time.
